It’s May and that can only mean one thing… Britain’s premier cycle race ‘The Tour de Yorkshire’ comes to town and Harrogate in particular.
Harrogate features prominently in the 2019 world cycling calendar, with not only the Tour run over three days in May, but also hosting the UCI world cycling championships in September.
You can find out which roads are closed during this year’s Tour de Yorkshire at a glance below but more details can found by clicking here.
The race will feature Harrogate on the Friday (Day2) as the race starts in Barnsley and finishes in Bedale. Whilst many of the road closures are ‘rolling closures’ which means the race closes before the race passes through and re-opens as soon as the race has passed, there will be parking restrictions in place and traffic is expected to be heavy.
